JEJU ISLAND, SOUTH KOREA


It is the biggest island in South Korea. Located in southern Korean peninsula, Jeju island can be reached from Seoul by plane, or 11 hours from Busan if you prefer using ferry.  Traveler can also reach the island directly from Japan, Shanghai and Hongkong.

It attracts tourists because of its stunning landscape that make the island as the most popular travel destination in South Korea. The beach, mountain, canyon, stone cluster and others beautiful places, make the island worth to visit by tourists.



Mount Hallasan

Standing at the center of the island, Mount Hallasan is the highest mountain in Jeju Island with 1.950 meters high. The landscape is outstanding throughout the year.  Through winter, it will be beautifully covered by the white of snow. On the top, there is a crater with 500 meters in diameter. It received recognition as UNESCO Global Geo-parks from the UNESCO Global Geopark Network.


Seongsan Ilchulbong or Sunrise Peak

The peak with 152 meters high, rose from the sea in a series of volcanic eruptions beginning over 100,000 years ago. You can enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the peak, that is a must-thing to do if you visit Jeju Island.


Museum of Haenyeo

From the past until now, Jeju's women is known for their toughness, especially in diving. Haenyeo (women divers) dive to pick up seaweeds, pearls and shells, without wearing diving equipment.
